‘Rendham Women Say Enough’
The year is 1911 and the women of Rendham have had enough. While the men folk spend the cold winter days and nights drinking and wassailing in the local hostility, The Dirty Mare, the women are left to prepare for the coming festivities. One of their number decides to make a stand, during her sleep she is visited by the ghosts of famous women from the past who egg her on. With the help of a hapless M.P. the women folk say enough is enough and the real battle begins. Ghosts, drunken songs and feisty rebellion promise a lively night for all sensible enough to come along and celebrate the winter solstice.
The chosen charity for the evening is St Elizabeth Hospice (Ipswich).
